I have decide to take my blog into a new direction. It is my hope and intent to show the reader a spiritual path to peace, love and prosperity. In this journey, I will be using the book “ A Course in Miracles “ as a guide. Although “A Course in Miracles”, third edition, was published in 2009, many people are not aware of it. It is my belief, that if more people were aware of it, read it, and applied the lessons, many lives would be changed. At one point of time in my life, I attended classes on a weekly bases, and only understood very little. It was not until I read the entire text on a daily bases over a few months, that I began to glean an idea of what the course was about. Furthermore, It was not until I read the course through three times, with a lot of prayer, that I started to understand it. So I would like to share with you in an understandable format what the course is sharing with the world. Before we get started, there are a few things that I would like to share with you. First of all do you really understand who and what you are. You are a spiritual being living in a body. Many people believe that they are a body with a spirit. The Bible says that God created man in his likeness and his image. Paul also said “ know you not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Jesus also said that he was in the Father and the Father was in him, and that he was in us and we were in him. When you consider these sayings, you can only conclude that we are spiritual beings. Furthermore, it has been scientifically proven that man is mind body and spirit. It is that spiritual part of us that connect us with God, Jesus, and our fellow man, which makes us all one. I know that is a bold statement. But Consider, why is God a forgiving God and why would he also suggest that we forgive our brother? When you forgive your brother, you in truth, forgive yourself, Jesus and God. Secondly, the course is designed to help you realize your relationship with God. During Jesus' ministry, he proclaimed that the Kingdom of God was upon us. Since Jesus proclaimed this over 2000 years ago, I suspect that it is still with us today. I don't think that Jesus would usher in the Kingdom of God and then take it back because man was not interested in it. The question is where is this Kingdom and how do I get into it? The Kingdom of God is for all mankind. I am sorry if you think that your boss or your spouse should go to hell, but the Kingdom is just as much available to them as it is to you. The fact is that the Kingdom of God is not hard to find. For one thing the Kingdom is in the Heart of man. You say okay, then how do I access it. Jesus gave the impression that it was easy to enter. And for some people it is easy. For others, not so easy, but all can enter. I believe that the Kingdom is about perception. It is how you look at yourself, your fellow man and how you look at life it self. If you see yourself as poor, then you will be poor, if you see yourself as rich, then you will be rich. You say how is that possible to see your self one way but then experience the opposite. You see, the way we would like to see ourselves, in our mind, may not be how we see ourselves in our heart. It is my belief that this is the reason the course was written. It is God's way of reminding man that there is a better way of living. We can live with out war, and even with out a police state. We can live with out sickness or disease. Just think how much better your relationships would be, if you just forgave, your spouse, your parents, your boss or just your fellow man. Can you imagine what it would be like to have world peace, Jesus established a foundation when he said that we should love our father (God) with all our heart and soul. There's that heart again. He said secondly, that we should love our neighbor (all mankind) as ourselves. If we recognize that we are all one Spirit, and the way we treat our neighbor and more importantly, how we treat God, is how we treat ourselves. Just think for a moment, that every time you look upon another person, if you see them in their pure and perfect state as God created them, you see yourself. Although, I have referred to Jesus, the course in miracles is not about Christianity. I use the teachings of Jesus because I am more familiar with the teachings of Jesus. I am not well verse in other doctrines, so not to appear ignorant, I choose to stick with what I know. It is not my intentions to exclude anyone, but the course is not about religion but about man's return to God. The course teaches that man turned from God in the beginning, and as a result, the plight of man has continue to be beset with all kinds of problems. Some of those problems include; war, hatred, discord, chaos, diseases and a host of other problems. In spite of the achievements of man, man continue to experience distress, heart aches, frustrations and dissatisfaction, The course is therefore encouraging man to return to God. Many people believe that we should wait on God, but the fact is that God is waiting on us. When we decide to stop putting other God's before God, such as family, job, doctors, money, then God will be there waiting for us. God gave us free will, and God will not violate that freedom. On the other hand, whatever will we decide to choose, that is the will that God will have for our lives. Whether it is right or wrong, God will always honor your will. You see God so love the world, he gave his only begotten Son. Don't be misguided by that passage from the Bible. It said only begotten son. In other words, I believe that God fertilize the egg in Mary. However, His spiritual nature is what keeps us alive. That is the Holy spirit which is one with God. There fore we are one with God or sons and daughters of God. Not only is God a loving God, but God is also a forgiving God People have a tendency to stay away form God, because they feel that they are not worthy. The fact is that we cannot sin against God, we may sin against man, but you see, God does not see our errors or what we say is our sin, because God only see our true nature. God looks upon our spirit, and not our physical nature. Just think for a moment, that if you decide to live your life according to the will of God. I am not saying that you are not living your life according to the will of God, because only you can know that. Jesus said that when you see him you see the Father. What are some of the things that you saw in Jesus? Just to mention a few, you saw love, forgiveness, compassion, and power over everything he touched, to include prosperity, sickness and disease. Jesus did not believe in what he could do, but he knew who he was and what he could do. You believe from your head but you know from your heart. Jesus did not have any doubt in his mind or his heart as to what he could do. As the Bible teaches: of our own we can do nothing, but with Jesus,( the Christ Mind ) all things are possible. The aim of this blog is to help you reach a point in your life where you develop the Christ Mind and ultimately; love, peace and prosperity.
